B2B Handsfree (“the App”) provides merchants who operate an online store on Shopify with a customer registration process (the “Service”). This privacy policy describes which personal data the App processes and how it processes that data.
Personal data processed by the App
When you install the App, we are technically able to retrieve the following information from the relevant Shopify store via the Shopify API:
General shop settings and information from the shop admin
All orders from the last 60 days
All stored customer data
Pages and theme files
Although we are technically able to retrieve the above data, we actually process only the following data:
The App retrieves your shop’s country in order to determine which customers the App must not mark as tax-exempt.
The App adds a customer’s VAT ID to that customer’s data and to each of their orders.
If a customer creates their customer account using the registration form provided by the App, we use the data entered by that customer to create the customer account in the relevant Shopify store and to send the customer a customer account invitation through the store, if this option is enabled in the App settings. This data is not stored by the App.
How do we use personal data?
We use your personal data and that of your customers to provide the Service offered by the App. In addition, we may use this data to communicate with you or to improve the App.
Sharing personal data
We share personal data if required to do so by law or in order to defend our rights.
Your rights
If your lawful place of establishment is within the EU, you have the right to request access to the data concerning you or to have that data corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise these rights, please contact us using the contact details provided below.
Retention period
We store relevant data only for as long as we are legally required to do so.
Changes
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time to reflect new legal requirements or changes to the App or our business model.
