Sometimes you may want to collect information form your B2B customers in the form of a scanned document or a PDF file. For example, you might ask for things like proof of business registration or the like. To make this possible, the registration form needs to have a way for customers to provide these files to you.

B2B Handsfree itself doesn't support file uploads, but there's an easy way to allow customers to send you any file. They simply need to upload the file to a service that can provide a publicly accessible URL so that you can then download the file from that URL.

This works with a multitude of services, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, WeTransfer, etc. All these services allow users to upload a file and then generate a URL to share that file with anyone. This works with image files, PDFs, Word documents, ZIP files that contain multiple individual files, etc. The types and sizes of the files your customers can send you is only limited by the limitations of the service your customer uses.

To allow your customers to send you a file along with their B2B account registration, follow these steps:

  1. Add a text field in the Custom Fields configuration of B2B Handsfree.

  2. If you like, add some text that explains how your customers can generate a shared URL for their file using one of the various aforementioned services like Google Drive etc.

  3. Enable the Custom Fields on B2B Handsfree's registration form (if they're not already enabled).
