B2B Handsfree uses the official VIES service to validate VAT IDs entered into the app's registration form. The VIES service or the member state services it connects to in real time can sometimes become temporarily unavailable or overloaded, making it impossible for B2B Handsfree to validate all or certain VAT IDs. Some member state services and the VIES service itself also have regular maintenance schedules, during which they're not available. You can check those schedules here.

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do to work around these situations, as VIES is the only service available to validate VAT IDs and there are no fallback services. Problems with the service usually resolve themselves within a short while, so your best bet is to simply retry the validation within a couple of seconds or minutes.
